We continue to be thankful that we chose Diamond Heating and Air as our HVAC company. Two years ago they replaced our old system and we were 100% happy with the work and 1000% happy with their customer service.
This summer, after hearing random strange noises when the AC kicked on, I gave Diamond a call and they came out to troubleshoot. The technician spent almost 2 hours checking out the system and could not replicate the noise. He did notice that the return register near where I had been hearing the occasional noises appeared slightly loose. (It was so minor that I had never noticed it.) He tightened the register and put Velcro on the filter to hold it in place, thinking that maybe the air movement when the system turned on might cause enough disturbance in the register to be making the noise. In the 24 hours since he was here, I haven't heard the noise again and think he may have solved the problem. It was not an obvious problem and it was attention to detail and thinking outside the box that found a solution.
Since there was not an invoice with the paperwork the tech left, I called Elaine to find out how much we owed and was surprised when she said nothing; the noise problem was part of our warranty and that our first two maintenance checks were part of our contract. I had assumed that since 2 years had passed since installation, we would be responsible.
I have so much respect for Bob and Elaine. They are customer oriented and don't consider a job done until it is done right. Their prices are fair and Diamond's commitment to excellence is unquestionable. We feel so lucky that we found them and will be lifelong clients.
